TTB Edge

The TTB EDGE, thanks to its unique kinematics, allows for the grinding of many types of inserts in just 4 m².
It offers extraordinary precision even for the most complex geometries, thanks to the backlash-free linear axes, powered by the exclusive TTB drive system, combined with high-resolution optical scales and encoders.
The innovative turret enables ultra-fast wheel changes in just 2 seconds, with wheel positioning repeatability of less than 0,3 µm!
Thanks to the TTB needle clamping system, loading and unloading are extremely fast.
The use of modular components allows for quick production changeovers, both between different types of inserts and between inserts and rotary tools.
The TTB EDGE's structure also ensures exceptional mechanical and thermal stability, making it perfect for high-volume production.
All this with an optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), thanks to extremely low maintenance costs.

 

FOR A WIDE RANGE OF INSERT TYPES

Fully automatic grinding of turning and milling inserts, profile inserts, groove inserts, and cutoff inserts.
Inserts with one, two, or no holes.
Insert length from 9 to 33 mm; insert thickness from 3 to 7 mm.

MACHINE EQUIPMENT

Revolver

The innovative turret enables both ultra-fast wheel changes in just 2 seconds and wheel positioning repeatability of less than 0,3 µm!

 

NEEDLE CLAMPING

Needle clamping unit for automatic loading and unloading of inserts.

 

AUTOMATIC LOADER

Integrated gantry loader with 3 CNC axes. Dedicated grippers and pallets specifically for inserts.

 

WORKPIECE PROBE

Workpiece probing using a fork-type probe. Allows definition of the tool position, both radially and axially, before grinding. Repeatable within 1 µm.

 

WHEEL PROBE

Wheel wear monitoring using a cylindrical probe, with automatic calibration to ensure maximum measurement accuracy. Calibration can also be programmed during the machining cycle.

 

OPTIONS

HF SPINDLE

High-frequency spindle, up to 150'000 RPM for internal grinding or narrow flutes. Quick and easy mounting and setup of the HF spindle. Possibility to mount up to 5 HF spindles simultaneously.

 

WHEEL DRESSING

Wheel dressing in-process to compensate for wear and ensure machine autonomy, even for very large batches. Programmable according to sharpening needs.

 

SHANK TOOL CLAMPS

Production changeover from inserts to shank tools in just 15 minutes.

 

REVOLVER WITH 5 SPINDLES

Option to increase the number of grinding wheels available in the machine by 25%.

 

PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

Counting the working hours of individual wear components (such as spindles or filters) and notifying for preventive replacement.

 

INDUSTRY 4.0

Exporting production data (batch, number of parts produced, cycle time, etc.) to external servers.
